Then in the next year i.e. in 2023, the construction of Muzaffarpur-Sitamarhi National Highway will be started through the selected works agency after the process of tender.
Administrative action has been started by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. Along with this, an underpass and service road will be built on National Highway 28 from Chandni Chowk to Kanti Chhinnamastika via Muzaffarpur Sudha Dairy. Please tell that people have to lose their lives due to frequent road accidents at both these places.
Based on the road safety audit report, the ministry has prepared a DPR for construction of service road with light vehicle underpass near Maa Chhinnamastika temple, for which tender is in the final stages. Along with this, due to the t-junction between National Highways 28 and 57, people continue to expect road accidents. To prevent this, a new flyover will be constructed near Sudha Dairy. The Ministry has selected CPCL Construction Agency for this. The agency is busy in preparing the DPR after conducting the survey.
Warning boards are being put up at various places on National Highway-102 up to Fakira Chowk of Chhapra-Rewa Ghat to reduce road accidents. Along with this, after the completion of the construction of bypass of National Highway 27 and 22, the traffic system will improve and which will reduce road accidents.
National Highway-122 Muzaffarpur, Rumble Strip and Pedestrian Crossing are being constructed along with ultimatum sign boards to prevent the frequent road accidents near Dighara, Gobarsahi and Qaziinda of Samastipur. In the coming time, orders have been given to increase the width of the road and build a bypass, as well as to free the encroachment from the service road near Gobarsahi.
After leaving Muzaffarpur, complaints of road accidents near Patahi in Motihari, Sitamarhi, Samastipur and Rewa Road are continuously coming. Within two months, a dozen people have died. When this matter reached the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, then arrangements are being made for sign boards with ultimatums, pedestrian crossings, rumble strips, road studs etc.
Muzaffarpur leader Suresh Sharma wrote a letter to the Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari and lodged a complaint in this regard on May 25. Necessary action is being taken only after the things that the former minister had conveyed to Gadkari through a letter within 5 days.
